Külli Kingo is professor and head of the Department of Dermatology, University of Tartu and head of the Dermatology Clinic of the Clinics of Tartu University.
Since 2012, she has served as vice dean for Science in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Tartu.
Külli Kingo is the Board Member of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and representative of Estonia in the UEMS Section of Dermatology and Venereology.
Her research activities focus on defining the environmental and genetic determinants of inflammatory and pigmentary skin diseases such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and vitiligo.
The goal of the Dermatology group led by Prof. Kingo is identification of novel diagnostic and prognostic markers and drug targets for better handling of chronic inflammation, including inflammatory skin diseases.
Prof. Kingo has been an investigator on over 20 phase II and III clinical trials in psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.
In 2016 Külli Kingo was awarded an Estonian Government Research Award in Medicine for the work “Pathogenesis of chronic inflammatory skin diseases”.

Robert A. Schwartz, MD, MPH, DSc (Hon), FRCP Edin is in his third decade as Professor and Head of Dermatology at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Professor Schwartz joined the U.S. Government as a Member of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS, holding office under Presidents of both political parties. Professor Schwartz has served three terms on the Rutgers University Board of Trustees, is the Chairman of the university-wide Academic Standards, Regulations and Admissions Committee, and was the Faculty President of the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He is an International Regional Adviser of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, Vice President of the International Society of Dermatology, and the Editor-in-Chief of Dermatologic Therapy, a peer-reviewed journal published by Wiley. Professor Schwartz was elected as a member of Academia Europaea (the European Academy of Sciences). He is an international authority on cutaneous oncology, HIV/AIDS, paraneoplastic syndromes, and health policy. Professor Schwartz authored or coauthored more than 5 books, 650 full articles, 300 book chapters and 300 other publications. He earned a degree in political science at the University of California, Berkeley, a Master of Public Health at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health, and a Doctor of Medicine at the New York Medical College. Professor Schwartz is board-certified in dermatology and in diagnostic and laboratory immunology.
